Nuremberg Trials

At the Tehran Conference during discussion of after war action Winston Churchill said: "War criminals must pay for their crimes and individuals who had committed barbarous acts, they must stand trial at the places where the crimes were committed."
After the Second World War,  Nazi chiefs and major war criminals were tried for their crimes at in Nuremberg, Balvaria, Germany. They were tried for crimes against peace, waging wars of aggression, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. Most were sentenced to death by hanging, such as Wilhelm Keitel. Some committed suicide before the trials had begun, such as Robert Ley. These trials were closure to the families that have lost loved ones in the war. Everyone had peace at last.
